India's Per Capita Income (GDP) at Rs 53k in 2010 - 2011

India’s per capita income grew by 15.6 per cent to Rs 53,331 per annum in 2010-11, crossing the half-a-lakh rupees mark for the first time, according to government data. 


The per capita income at current prices is estimated at Rs 53,331 in 2010 - 11, as against Rs 46,117 for the previous year, depicting a growth of 15.6 per cent, as per Central Statistical Office (CSO). 

Google sets Country specific domain for blogger blogs

Wondering why suddenly some of your widgets are not working and all the social stats from your blog is reset to zero. Thanks to google update. The blogger blogs will now have country specific domains. For example my blog http://investorzclub.blogspot.com was changed to http://investorzclub.blogspot.in, since my blog is based out of India.


This change might have some impact on blog traffic as country specific domains appear more in local search. So if you blog had lot of global audience then you might see some drop in google search traffic.

Revenue came in at Rs 13,204 crores for the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2011 vs. 11,633 crores for the second quarter ended 30th September 2011.
